DFPCL Group’s core businesses are Crop Nutrition Business (CNB), Mining Chemicals & Industrial Chemicals. All the 3 businesses need Ammonia as a feedstock. As part of backward integration, the Group decided to set up an Ammonia plant under PCL at Taloja, adjacent to its existing manufacturing facilities.

This is a world scale, state-of-the-art plant with capacity of 500,000 TPA using best in class technology from M/s. KBR, US. It is a highly energy efficient plant meeting Global and Indian environmental and safety standards and is also a zero-liquid discharge plant.

The plant was successfully commissioned in Q2 FY’2023-24. This has enabled DFPCL Group to transition from being highly dependent on outsourced Ammonia to being self-sufficient, with surplus quantity available for merchant market sale.
